ScotMUN 2010

This is the first annoucement for ScotMUN 2010. It will be held on the 26th, 27th and 28th February 2010. And the online registration will be open from the 15th October 2009. More information about ScotMUN will be announced and posted on the ScotMUN website.

EdMUN 2009/10

Edmun have just held our first crisis committee for the year! As promised, the Sri Lanka's resolution and study guide are up and loaded. But please don't miss out our next week's debate on sri lanka. Well done to all freshers who keep showing up every week. Hopefully we'll get something passed soon. We don't know for certain which room our next meeting will be but just come into Appleton and you'll sure find us - don't forgot to ask any suspicious individuals who may know the actual location!

WorldMUN 2009

Our Mission Statement

The Edinburgh University Model United Nations (EdMUN) is committed to embracing and spreading the spirit of the concept of Model United ations by enhancing students' understanding of the institutional and political in-working of the United Nations (UN) organisation. Through simulated UN conferences, students act as delegates of Member-Sate nations debating a plethora of issues presented in the form of UN resolutions and discussed in a manner consistent with the parliamentary procedure of the real UN. Such conferences take place on a university, regional or global level amongst other prestigious universities world-wide, and constitute forums which cultivate international awareness and understanding as well as provide ample opportunity for educational and cultural enrichment.
